FIRST IMPRESSIONS - WHAT TO EXPECT

Your first appointment establishes our relationship with you. We start with a comprehensive exam, followed by a consultaion because it’s important that you understand your treatment options.

And because your time is valuable to you (and us)...

Some dental treatment might be completed in one day. However, depending on history, the results of your dental exam, diagnosis and treatment plan, further evaluation and additional appointments might be necessary.

To ensure your first visit with us is a seamless experience, please bring the following to your intial appointment.

  • Radiographs (x rays) if applicable and your referral slip if seeing our periodontal or endodontic specialists.
  • A list of your current medications and dosages
  • Your dental insurance information if applicable

Please note...

  • It is important and helpful to our dental team that you communicate to them if you have a medical condtion that may impact your dental procedure such as (diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.), if you're on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.), or if you require medication prior to a dental hygiene cleaning (i.e. antibiotics for pre-med following joint replacement – hip, knee, etc.).
  • All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at their initial examination and consultation appointment.

A word about x-rays ( also known as dental radiography or dental imaging)...

Please request any recent x-rays or dental images (taken within 12 months) from your previous dental provider or referring dentist. For your convenience, you can have them forwarded to our office by mail or e-mail.

Our office provides state of the art digital imaging that provides the highest standards of diagnostics possible while minimizing patient exposure.

We're also prepared to take additional x-rays if necessary.
